walk the line

A little rest on the cool concrete of the city. A slight pause before we move on to the seemingly bigger things in life. Like a career. Success. Investments. Higher tax returns. Bigger houses. Shinier cars. Sexier women. The perfume of money. The high of lights. The stink of newsprint. And maybe even a little love.

Taken near the sea. Bombay.

Rajenda's footwear photographed by Phish.

simple shot without any mess...the write up to the shot is the essence of the entire canvass....walk the line well potrayed by the choice of sandals...the designs complement the idea...

thank you tito. i wasn't really thinking of all that. but your views are certainly very important to me. keep coming back.

It's always good to take a deep breath before plunging into the big stuff.

Nice shoes!

sirbarrett - yes, i like 'em too. the big stuff still eludes however.

the black and white mode looks nice, given that the sandals are black too :)

I love the shoes. A little hippy like to be about money and power, but I have never been to Bombay.

doe - is it nice to feel that we aren't really alone? or it is a call for change at a molecular level?
glad you liked the stuff.

camplin - the money and power are just two of the things that seem to plague society en masse over the world. and it is in everything we see - and unless we renounce - a tad difficult in the iPhone generation - it will forever seem to attract.
bombay is nice, sometimes. maybe you should come down. look me up if you do.

are you an art director or copywriter or both? you're really quite good, at least here:-) hope you didn;t work on amul macho - i went blue in the face defending an ad I hated to the IBF!

dolphin - copywriter. with very strong views on art :) actually graphic designers and artists run in the family. i am the one who's sold out :) the amul macho ad...didn't it do exactly what it was supposed to.

if you get a little time check out para 5 of this post http://lynnisms.blogsource.com/post.mhtml?post_id=142722.

it applies here too. one can do 'what you're supposed to' and to hell with the consequences, or one can be responsible and see the bigger picture - it's our choice.

just did. can't help but agree whole-heartedly. "Our sting can be more poisonous than the viper’s and, by a strange logic all our own, arguably more likely to bring about social change than straight journalism".

why do we think we are all out to change the world? given my job situation and the fact that I am a bachelor, it's difficult for me to change my bedsheets everyday.

Smiling Dolphin said...

that's just the point i guess, we may not be out to change the world, but change it anyway, and can't ignore the fact. nice chappals. something about the way you write (and shoot) tells me you will be changing a lot of worlds as you grow:-)

you're welcome. I see that it was taken near the sea. How near, meaning that is it sand that we see (ground)?
